| Cyclonic Combustor |
Shown is a horizontally fired Schack® Cyclonic Combustor supplied to the Carbon Black industry. Prior to exiting the stack, the combustion gases are cooled with dilution air. While it is common in the United States to vent these gases directly to atmosphere, a heat recovery system arranged downstream is nearly a necessity in Europe and Asia where energy has always been at a premium. These heat recovery systems are also becoming mandatory in some locations due to emission laws.
